About This Product

This high mountain, spring green tea comes from the Wuyishan Mountain region of Fujian, China. The term ‘Rock Tea’ is most often associated with the oolongs that are produced in the region and tend to have a higher mineral content due to the rockiness of the soil. Though processed as a green tea, Green Rock Tea also possesses this distinct mineral quality along with a wonderful depth and complexity.

About the Region

The Wuyi Mountains are a range located in the prefecture of Nanping in the Fujian province near the border with Jiangxi province.  The mountains cover an area of 60 km². In 1999, Mount Wuyi entered a list of World Heritage Sites, both natural and cultural. It is a biodiversity conservation zone of Southeast China.
