About Tea Forest Green:
Tea Forest Green is a richly flavored green tea plucked from an old growth tea forest – one of the staff favorites at our Belmont Tea House and Leaf Room.
In the Jing Mai mountain area of Southern Yunnan, there remain old growth tea plants that have matured into fifty foot tall tea trees. These ‘wild’ trees are more than seven hundred years old, and considered a national treasure, though their exact location and method of cultivation has been a closely guarded secret of the local population. The tea forest region of about 1200 acres is home to an abundant variety of herbs and plants that enrich the local ecosystem.
Ingredients: 100% Organic Green Tea Leaves.
Deeply flavored with a sweet, honey aroma and texture. Notes of smoke, hazelnut, and a lingering pine aftertaste.
Every tea is different and can be brewed in different ways. The chart below is not a hard-and-fast guide for brewing this tea, but rather a place to get started. Steeping time may vary based on your personal taste or on how many infusions have already been done. Experiment with the brewing of your tea to discover its unique character.
