About Tea Forest Green:
Tea Forest Green is a rich, flavorful green tea plucked from an old-growth tea forest. It is a staff favorite at our Portland teahouses.
In the Jing Mai mountain area of Southern Yunnan, there are old-growth tea plants that have matured into tall tea trees nearly 50 ft tall. These trees are more than seven hundred years old, and considered a national treasure, though their exact location and method of cultivation have been closely guarded secrets of the local population. This tea forest region of about 1200 acres is home to an abundant variety of herbs and plants that enrich the local ecosystem.

Flavor Profile:
Deeply flavored with a sweet, honey aroma and texture. Notes of smoke, hazelnut, and a lingering pine aftertaste.
