About This Product
The tea plant (Camellia sinensis) flowers once a year in the fall, just before the plant produces seeds and goes into winter hibernation. Tea flowers can be made into a lovely brew that is smooth and sweet. Similar to Puer teas, the flowers age well, developing a richer, fuller flavor over time.
These 100% organic tea flowers are from Jing Mai Mountain in Southern Yunnan and are harvested from old-growth tea trees native to the area. This mountain region has been called a ‘Tea Forest Museum’ with trees ranging from 800 to 1200 years old. The native people of Jing Mai are among the few cultures that have a history of tea flower harvesting.
Ingredients: 100% Organic Camellia sinensis flowers.
