About This Product
Taiwan Black – TTES 18 comes to us from Ming Jian, Nantou County, Taiwan.
TTES stands for “Taiwan Tea Experiment Station,” a research and development center that works to create new tea cultivars well-suited to specific areas across Taiwan. The number 18 refers to the cultivar used (also called Ruby 18).
Fans of our popular Formosa Black will likely enjoy a taste comparison with this tea, which is processed similarly. The hand-picked leaves are long, wiry and stylish, and produce a rich, full-flavored infusion.
